Have you ever wondered about public safety and what is being done to keep you and your loved ones safe in Lexington? Then this is the right article for you! As a project for STLP, myself along with fellow students Isaac Angles Plakosh and Felix Lingeman are creating a podcast about local government. The episode featured here is an interview with Lexington’s Public Safety Commissioner, Kenneth Armstrong. Commissioner Armstrong worked with the Lexington Police Department for about 25 years before retiring and being asked to work as the Safety Commissioner. In this interview, we asked him questions about what Lexington is doing to ensure the safety of its citizens. We talk about advancements in technology helping improve public safety, school safety in Lexington, understating in the Lexington Police Department, and more. Go listen to the podcast by clicking the emblem below to learn just how good Lexington’s public safety is. You can find more episodes of this podcast on STEAM Academy’s YouTube channel.
