This week (October 22nd) STEAM Academy had the honour of welcoming visitors from New England in collaboration with Next Generation Learning Challenges, who also collaborated with a Henry County School.
Lu Yung, a University of Kentucky Education Professor, stated, “STEAM is an example of the kind of school NGLC is looking for.” She also spoke about STEAM’s different opportunities, such as internships, dual credit, and early graduation.
Dr. Flores said “Anytime I can show off the great things happening in our school and district, I take full advantage of that opportunity,” “To be able to be a model school for other states and districts is a great compliment to the hard work of our students, staff, and school community.”
The visitors spoke to students and teachers about our school’s setup and our use of STEAM Habits.
